Chicken-Fried Bacon Burger

  1. Take 4 strips of bacon, dredge them in flour, then egg wash, then more flour, then fry in 350 degree oil for 6 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Let drain on paper towels.
  2. Mix 1Tbsp butter with 1Tbsp of flour in a small sauce pan and heat on medium. After 3 minutes, when the flour and butter have melted together, add in 1 1/2 cups of whole milk, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Let simmer for three minutes, then turn off the heat.
  3. Form two 1/4 lb patties, season with salt and pepper, then sear for 2 minutes on each side in a screaming hot pan. Add a slice of sharp cheddar cheese on top of each patty after the flip.
  4. Fry an egg.
  5. Stack burger as such: Bottom bun, gravy, burger patties, fresh sliced jalapenos, chicken-fried bacon strips. fried egg, more gravy. Boom.
