Sausage Balls

Total20 min
ServesAbout 6 dozen

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hot country-style sausage or any other spicy bulk pork sausage, uncooked
  • 3 1/2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 cups Bisquick

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Combine ingredients in a bowl and mix with your hands until there are no dry crumbs. Form into balls about one inch in diameter and place on a baking sheet. If you have the time, the sausage balls hold their shape better if refrigerated overnight before baking. (They also freeze extremely well. Bake them straight out of the freezer, adding a few more minutes to the baking time.)
  2. Bake until the balls are golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
