Ponzu Chili Honey Wings

Ingredients

PONZU & CHILI HONEY WINGS

  • 3 lbs chicken wings

Red chili flake

Salt and pepper

  • Garnish:

Scallion

Basting sauce

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ponzu
  • 1/2 cup fish sauce
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tbl sriracha or chili sauce
  • 1 stick unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F

  1. On a cookie sheet line with wax or parchment paper. Season chicken wings with salt, pepper and chili flake. Arrange evenly on cookie sheet. Bake in oven for 35-40 minutes (basting with sauce every ten mins - see recipe below).
  2. In a microwaveable bowl or measuring cup melt butter (approximately 35 seconds) and add all of the basting ingredients to melted butter. Stir until all ingredients are incorporated. Baste chicken with mixture every ten minutes. Coat the wings evenly until golden brown.
  3. After baking finish wings under the broiler for 3-5 minutes. Remove from oven and transfer to plates or platter and garnish with chopped scallion. Serves 4.
