Cheese Steak Stuffed Croissant

Ingredients

  • 2 large butter croissants
  • 1 pound shaved ribeye
  • 10 slices Cooper Sharp cheese
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups cheese sauce
  • 2 cups grated provolone or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Slice the croissant in half

  1. Coat the croissants rim in the cheese sauce
  2. Place it on a tray with the grated cheese and using the nacho cheese as a binder, press the grated cheese onto the croissant
  3. Place on a non stick baking sheet and bake for 10 minute at 400 degrees F
  4. Take them out and let them rest to let the cheese firm up
  5. Add the butter to a medium high frying pan
  6. Once the butter is melted, add the onions and the sugar and saute for 5 minutes
  7. Season with salt and pepper
  8. Add the steak to a high frying pan or skillet
  9. Season with salt and pepper and cook until browned (about 7 minutes)
  10. Add the onions on top followed by the Cooper sharp cheese
  11. Mix well until the cheese is melted and mixed in with the steak and onions
  12. Add the steak to the middle of the croissant and enjoy
